Hay-Hutch Launch in France

The Hay-Hutch - Simple and Effective!

We have been in the business of supplying hay and haylage to hundreds of customers throughout Europe for many years and the Hay-Hutch is without doubt one of the simplest and yet best ideas we have seen.

What is Hay-Hutch?

Hay-Hutch is a new feeder designed for haylage or hay. It can be used in the stable or in the field and, unlike a hayrack or a haynet, the feed is presented at ground level, the natural eating position.

The revolutionary Hay-Hutch is, like so many good ideas, simple. It protects precious fodder from the elements, preventing it from being trodden into or spoiling the pasture. When feeding horses in stables or fields, wastage can occur due to the weather or with animals treading the hay into the ground or fouling. All these things waste fodder and money. With the cost of haylage and hay as well as labour always critical, a Hay-Hutch can pay for itself within a matter of months.

Robustly made of tough polyethylene, your Hay-Hutch will give you years of service. It saves hassle too! If you ad-lib feed, you can top up your Hay-Hutch with enough hay or haylage to last for several days. This cuts down the morning chores and of course, you can dodge the showers too! The Hay-Hutch is available in three sizes suitable for use in the stable, in the yard or in the field. Immediate

Benefits
  • No more hay getting wet in the field and then having to pick it up or watch it get trodden into the ground, killing the grass underneath.
  • No waste.
  • Ad lib feeding becomes possible as the fodder stays dry.
  • Filling the Hay-Hutch right up means less feeding trips and less labour.
  • Your sward or yard substrate are protected from damage caused by a fixed feeder or rotting hay on the ground.
  • Save Money - Most loose fed horses waste about 25%. If one horse eats four bales a week at €4 per bale, that’s €4 lost per week. In only 25 weeks the cost of the Hay-Hutch is recovered. After that you save up to €200 per year per horse.
  • Save Time - Fill up once a day or maybe once a week.
Three different sizes of Hay-Hutch are available to suit your needs. Save Your Paddocks - Easy to move, light-weight yet very robust and stable design. Cannot easily be toppled over.
